The Filmtracks Community Awards are conducted in the first two months of every year at the Scoreboard Forum.
Any participant can provide their top ten score choices and a top composer choice of the previous year for tabulation. Visit the forum
for announcements during that time.
The "Top Score" category uses a point system for its ranking, providing extra weight to a first-place vote. For instance, a participant's top score
receives 12 points, while the second-place vote receives 9 points, the third-place vote receives 8 points, etc. The "Top Composer" category uses a
straight single vote per user tally.
In the event of a tie in the "Top Score" category, the score with the greater number of first-place votes, if applicable, will be ranked in the higher
position. Ties in the "Top Composer" category are broken by awarding the higher rank to the composer with the most points in the "Top Score"
category.
The voting period for this year was open from December 9, 2016 to January 31, 2017. The total number of participants was 91.
A total of 126 scores received votes, with 31 scores receiving at least one first-place vote.
* This score won a tie-breaker based on a higher number of first-place votes.
Seven other composers received one vote each.
* These composers won tie-breakers based on a higher number of first-place votes and/or more total points for their scores in the "Top Score" category.
