The score to A.I. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE by Williams is my favorite of this year so far. Sure the movie stinks, but the score sure doesn't. It has an excellent theme to it (which is what the song is based on) and I love track # 1:
"THE MECHA WORLD." It reminds me so much of the first track on BICENTENNIAL MAN by James Horner. In fact the whole score reminds me of BM but A.I. is a little more dramatic and a little more interesting. I would love to see this score win the ACADEMY AWARD for 2001. But if my predictions are right, probably some foreign composer will win again. They've been winning it ever since 1998. But anyway, this is a good John Williams score that will be remembered in the years to come. I highly recommend this soundtrack to anyone who wants to start a soundtrack collection.
