Hi,

Alien 3 is one of the most interesting and suspensing scores I ever heard! It is Goldenthals ultimative Masterpiece . The composition of the orchestral music and the audio effects, like remodeling of the Instruments with something else (In the Track Candles in the wind for example the Horns sounds like polishing a glass plate (A typical kind for remodeling (A normal instrument frequenz spectrum will be comdinated with another sound (the Glass plate)) or some reverb effects and many more is so interesting, that everybody who don't like this music will never love some music of the 20th or 21th Century. On the other hand the music works with "the destruction of the orchestal Sound"... So people who want to hear some lovely music with dramatic points should not hear this CD, or any Alien Score .

But to say it is a bad score is absolutely wrong . When you here it in the film you feel more like these poor guys (and Ripley) hunted by an Alien-Warrior.

Greeting Martin (Germany, Essen)
