Regardless of whether James is the best choice of not, George Lucas has mentioned publically that he admire's Horner's work and would most certainly hire him if John Williams wasn't around. I do like most of Horner's original work, and I think that it would be interesting to hear his musical take on Star Wars. But besides those points, John is a good friend of my family and a nice man. I talked to him and his wife Samantha few months ago at the E.T premier and he looks great for a man of 70.

I certainly hope through the grace of God that he is still with us in November 2004-March 05 to complete his six wonderful and enchanting masterpieces.
