• In Response to: Re: Pornographic film, terrible music. Death t... (Dan Sartori)

I'd like to post my support and acknowledgement to what is being said by Daniel Sartori, Choga, and that fellow in the military. I've taken a good look at what is being said in response to this very unnecessary, and very foolish posting, and I must say that I think most of you have been listening to Toby Keith too much. Regardless of who this person may be, responding with blind emotion is probably the worst action you could take. If he is, as Choga suggests, some hapless, attention starved soul living in California, then responding as you have will only encourage him further. And if he is some hard-line muslim fanatic, then you have just fallen into the trap that they set: actions that prove to all the world that America is full of nothing but vulgur, short tempered fools who's immediate response to a kick in the shin is a shower of bullets. The best way to respond to such cruel threats is to do exactly the opposite of what they are trying to coax us into doing. That is how we prove we're better then them. Now I know that I now probably look like some pacifist hippy trying to advocate not going to war with Iraq. I'm not. I do think that we should be responding to 9-11, I just think that our current tactics are playing right into the terrorist's hands. No, not in a way that they'd defeat us militarily, just a way that would ensure the existence of future terrorist groups, with anger against us that is just as extreme as the present ones. That is all.
