I completely agree with your review Chris. For that reason I was flabbergasted when I saw him actually win an Oscra for this trash. Pan's Labyrinth has a beautiful score and why the hell was "The Painted Veil" not nominated? The Oscars for Best score were a joke this year.

You're right, Desplat deserved a nomination, but for The Painted Veil, not The Queen.
The Oscars for Best score were a joke this year.
Very true. I don't think the Oscars are even worth it anymore.
