hey katie,
i loved that scene too, it was the best in the whole film i think. i think that the white wolf is menat to represent balto's inner self, he is a wolf on the inside but a dog on the outside. ok he has some features that show he is part wolf (the pawprints) but he is a mixture of the best parts of each beast.
