Not to ailienate any Elliot Goldenthal fans but Elfman's score here MADE Batman1, the film was . . . not bad but the score took it up a few levels. The exact opposite happened with Batman Forever where a stylish movie with a . . . decent plot was taken down a tone by a) Joel Schumacher and b) that ridiculous, militaristic Goldenthal theme

The movie (Forever) was horrible to begin with. The score was annoying! I've tried and tried but God! Wooh! When Burton left the series, Joel got right on top of it. Didn't succeed though. And then there was Batman and Robin. I'll just stop right there...
