A very harsh review - a very good soundtrack

I don't know how you could give such a harsh review for this soundtrack (although I've always been a Zimmer fan). I've been listening to it (compared to the soundtrack of Batman: Forever - some great songs, but some really lousy ones too) and this one craps all over any of the previous Batman soundtracks. The original Batman movie franchise is dead (Joel Schumaker made sure of that), this is a new Batman (and hopefully the start of a new series) and I think that the music needed to take a different direction to that of the previous movies. I think it's a fresh new sound and a great soundtrack.
