Elfman's score for Batman Returns is very underappreciated. Elfman's scores are vastly superior to Goldenthal's efforts, although I did enjoy Batman Forever to a certain extent. However, Elfman's scores hit all the right notes in the first two films. I can only hope that Christopher Nolan brings in Danny Elfman to compose for his new Batman movie.
