Hello Everyone! Thank you for visiting my profile [ I hope it's by choice ].

Well, let's start with a brief sypnosis of who I am...

I am currently a student studying in Music Composition and Music Theory. My specific focus is of course in Film Scoring. However, I share an equally passionate enjoyment of Orchestral music of the concert stage [All musical eras welcome!]. I am sad to report, however, that I am not a fan of the music scene in today's world. While I respect the various artists out there for their successes, that is just not where my heart is at. Should the current genre of Pop, Rock, Rap, Dance and etc. be the fields you are interested in - More power to you!

Now obviously, since I frequent a Film Score website, I should have some favorite artists? Correct! I would have to say that my absolute favorite composer [Even though I wouldn't want to pick a favorite] is John Williams [Cliche' alert!]. Besides the outstanding quality of his music, there is another reason for my respect to him. I was enjoying the music of the films he has been involved before I was involved with music. I would have to say that he help push my interest to music. As for other composers, I will simply provide a list:

Danny Elfman
Alan Silvestri
Howard Shore [Not just Lord of the Rings, either - I am a genuine fan.]
Bernard Herrmann
Alex North
Jerry Goldsmith [I'm not sure why I placed North before Goldsmith. I certainly own more Goldsmith!]
James Horner
Elliot Goldenthal
Max Steiner
James Newton Howard
Hans Zimmer [It really depends on what mood I'm in - I can hate him, as well as moderately enjoy him.]
Micheal Kamen
Wojciech Kilar [This guy really belongs higher up on the list - Darn my fledgling memory!]

There certainly are MANY more composers that I enjoy.

In summation, I love film scores. Should you ever want to discuss, debate, analyze or do all three - I am always ready. I look forward to hearing from people.

Have a fantastic day!
