• Now Playing: Maternity Hospital - The Boys from Brazil [Jerry Goldsmith]

Though it may seem an odd choice for many film score fans - this is the score that made me take Jerry Goldsmith a lot more seriously.

Now, I'm not saying that I had not enjoyed many of his scores. Before listening to this, however, I did not place him [on personal taste] on the same shelf as...oh, John Williams. I don't wish to get into an argument on the technical aspects of orchestration or the development of themes between the two. It's just an example.

I had always understood that many people loved Jerry Goldsmith. It wasn't my opinion for most scores, but I wasn't going to judge.

This score was the conduit that allow me to further appreciate the maestro and provide me analytical patience to truly develop a objective opinion.

It's a great score [to me]...and the film is interesting too!

Check it out!
