Catch me if You Can , is, i consider, a fantastic score. I really think Williams has displayed to us yet again his knack at being able to guide our emotions. Spielberg's film is though, by and by, rather off centre. The book is great but the adaptation is crap. Williams manages to lift the score to a higher level through use of the excellent sax solo and the catchy tunes that i find myself humming every now and then. I think THE FLOAT is an excellent tune and really catchy, the sad, memorable FATHER'S THEME is also an excellent demonstration of how talented Williams is. However, apart from a few catchy tunes and a great sax solo, the score starts to sag a bit and i find myself listening to repeated themes. Great though at the filling in the gaps, it doesn't provide anything new to the listener. However, Williams has unearthed a spectacular host of classical memorable songs that are featured int the film. COME FLY WITH ME is a good choice follwoed by THE LOOK OF LOVE. The others i think are a bit rubbish but there we go. My opinion.
