It is obvious why John Williams 'recycles' his themes, although I think that is a very inappropriate way of characterizing Williams' ingenious composing. They are SEQUELS. Don't tell me people didn't hear the famous Indiana Jones Fanfare in the sequels or the Star Wars Fanfare or the Jurrasic Park Fanfare. If old themes don't return in sequels, it does not feel like a sequel. So, Williams' 'recycling' is actually necessary. Just my opinion.
