Immensely powerful and memorable music   Wednesday, March 26, 2003 (9:25 p.m.)

When I found myself replaying the video over and over of the opening credits, the twins' birth, and the riding of the worms just to listen to the music, I knew this was a score worthy of purchasing immediately.

Tyler deserves a lot of credit for capturing the essence of Frank Herbert's books and emphasizing the action and drama encompassing the Dune mythos. The music was a significant reason I enjoyed this miniseries much more than the previous one. The main themes are all amazingly memorable and perfectly accompany the movie itself.

Scores like these can propel composers to future popularity; I certainly want to hear more of what Tyler can do.

Well, he's had three album releases in two weeks. Children of Dune, The Hunted, and Darkness Falls.
