Don't know if this is the exact way to write it, but this is what I hear..........:

Haaaaaaaaa, hajé, hajé, hajé, hajé, hajé, hajé
Haaaaaaaaa, hajé, hajé, hajé, hajé, hajé, hajé

U-ma Ku-indja Kothbiro qué luru vokétala
U-ma Ku-indja Kothbiro qué luru vokétala

When I know more, I'll let you know!

• Now Playing: Dicholo by Ayub Ogada-it's beautiful!!

> if you get the lyrics to Kothbiro, please pass them on to me too!!!!!!!!

Hi i wrote to a records company and they sent me back the lyrics to Kothbiro by Ayub Ogada

Kothbiro (rain is coming)

Aaa aye aye
aye aye
aye aye

Auma do you hear what I say
The rain is on it's way
Return our cattle home

Yaye the children
What is it that you think you do?
The rain is on it's way r
Return our cattle home.

I am presuming that it was the english translation that you wanted but if you want it in the spoken language let me know and I'll pass it on. x

I believe Kothbiro translates as 'RAIN' in English, but I can't be sure, due to the difference of literal format of Kenyan compared with English. As for the rest of the lyrics in the song, I would dearly like to know the exact translation too, but,in my case, I must wait for Uni to resume if I have any chance of deciphering to lyrics.
I'll hold my breath for a result-who wants to see a poor old Australian turn blue? hehe.

Dear children,
the rain is coming,
bring the cows in the cattle,
bring in our wealth

I've been looking for this translation forever. You're sure about this? I use Kothbiro as the music for a gruop meditation I conduct (for world peace). Turns out these lyrics are perfect for that theme!

Hi there! :-) Yes, as I said, it's transcripiton from booklet for CD "En Mana Kuoyo" (which I own) and there is sign of Ayub Ogada under it. Well, at the start of translation he writes anything else: "Another song concerning cattle-herding." And after this sentence there is English translation of the song in booklet (which you can read now here :-)).

Well, before Constant Gardener they used this song for one cheap sci-fi movie.
