Comments about the soundtrack for The Da Vinci Code (Hans Zimmer)
nice one for zimmer :-)

nice one for zimmer :-)   Monday, May 8, 2006 (12:01 a.m.)

he did another good job. he is no goldsmith, but that cannot be expected from him anymore. hans zimmer's strong point is always the mood he creates, and that he has done nicely. Still, I wish he'd show more variety. If someone wants to know how zimmer's music sounds, i can just pass on gladiator or something, but if someone wants to know how goldsmith's music sounds, i would have to pass on many cd's. i mean look at the difference between hoosiers, the russia house, papillon and under fire. its mind-boggling.
Anyway. while i was reading the review, i figured: he's gonna give it 4 stars, maybe even 5! but 3 i couldnt guess. i have seen you talk worse about 4 star scores, chris. But thats your decision, i'll make my own. nice review, but maybe too much energy in trying to sound funny...

greets, jeroen
