Some thoughts...

I really think that Clemmensen's review for The Dark Knight a bit too long IMO. Despite this, I agree (unfortunately) with the complaints. This score is a huge disappointment and this is coming from someone who rather enjoyed the first one. Most of the stuff is pretty uninteresting (and unfortunately largely dominate by Zimmer) relying mostly on the same thematic work of the first one and sometimes. One funny thing also the action sequences are supposed to sound big but the sound itself is so muffled so... well i dont know how to express it, but it completely fails in this area. Too much electronics, not enough orchestra.

The Howard parts (Harvey Two-Face and Blood On My Hands mostly) are quite good albeit scarce and it's a shame because they are far superior than Zimmer's. IMO, Howard is really wasting his time on these projects and should just left the third movie out to Zimmer & Co. alone next time.
