Although I love it when composers do source cues, I never thought this was that cool of a piece (try John Williams "Swing, Swing, Swing" from 1941 or James Horner's work in such scores as Once Around and *batteries not included) of music myself. I assume that this cue was replaced by the Madonna/Stephen Sondheim song "Back in Business" (which worked well in the film) while Tracy languishes in jail.

Although the main title theme does tend to start and stop, as Christian has mentioned, I think there is some wonderful action music, especially "After the Kid" and "Big Boy/Bad Boys") a bit of decent suspense ("Meet the Blank"), and a nice love theme that gets its best play in the finale.

There was an interesting sidebar in Entertainment Weekly back when the film came out that mentioned that Elfman was in Hawaii on vacation and Warren Beatty got him to cut his vacation short to score the film.
