North's Dragonslayer is a raw, brutal, dissonant, avant-garde composition that if a listener truly gives it his or her complete attention will be fully rewarded by the time the disc finishes. Don't expect a sense of adventure and fun... this is an angry, atonal score with sense of dread and darkness much like the film it accompanies. It's also helps the listener understand what North was trying to say by listening to the score in context. There it works its magic!

This is an absolutely brilliant score and giving it one star is a travesty.
