A ridiculous travesty

I'm a fan of Zimmer's Lion King and Man of Steel but this is one of the lamest scores from this century. It exposes everything wrong about his approach to film scoring, and exactly how bad he can write without the help of four orchestrators and 8 arrangers.

Bernard Herrmann must be rolling in his grave. I'll never listen to Zimmer's music the same way again. The cracks have not only been fully revealed, but shown to be the broken backbone of his entire musical approach. Newton-Howard and (even more bad by himself) Junkie were crutches for him this whole time...oh and I did mention the legions of people who actually "write" his scores after he offers a (much more often than not) a simple melody?
