What can be said about Edward Scissorhands?Probably one of the most favourite scores ever written.Although a lot of people criticised it because of the overuse of the choir and because of the low tone of the music, but neverthless it provides an outstanding listening experience.Cues such as Edward The Barber and Ballet De Suburbia - Suite contains excellent virtuose string play and provides great fun to the listener, whereas Main Titles - Intoduction and Ice Dance,Storytime,Castle On The Hill and Grand Finale contains heavenly choir work with excellent string accompaniment. The song at the end - With These Hands - are a nice song with abstract and rather funny lyrics, pianos, strings and percussion. The album was nominated for a Grammy in 1991.It is a good relaxing soundtrack with some funny music, and nevertheless, one of Elfman' s best scores.
