Or maybe he wanted thematic consistency? Which is what most of the people complain about lacking in franchises.
Now, being honest, I assume Tyler didn't had too much of time to work in the score, and the arrangers credited on the score adapted pieces and themes of the first two scores, like William Ross did in HP2. I mean, Tyler has barely mentioned to be working on the score unlike his other 2014 projects. Also, the movie has a lot of tracked cues.
