As beautiful as the song is, the singer herself (Lisa Gerrard) has confessed that the words are made up. (Do a Google Search for "Lisa Gerrard melismatic", with Lisa's name in quotes)

However, she believes that these "words", though merely random syllables, can communicate a message that transcends human words; that is as clear as the words on this screen.

And so do I.
