I read along time ago somewhere that the music main theme for this picture was really from an old picture called Ivan the Terrible composed by Sergie Prokofiev...Now, at that tiem I heard that music and is the same theme, but I don`t see James Horner thinking: "I`ll use this music so everybody thinks is really mine", is probably the original temp track that was used for the movie and the director wanted him to use that theme.

I know James Horner has that reputation, but I don`t think that he pretends to cheat people.

What surprise me is that aparently nobody else have any knowledge about this fact.

Here`s a Link:

the track is:
Ivan The Terrible: Concert Scenario: 7 Ivan's Sickness: ii) Andante sostenuto

you can hear the main theme from Glory in this subtle theme from Prokofiev`s Ivan The Terrible Concerto Scenario
