'THE CITY SURF' by Jamin Winans (originally from the INK soundtrack) is used at the end of THE GREY when Ottman faces the wolves and his father's poem is reprised. It does not appear on THE GREY soundtrack cd. This cue was presumably used during the temp score phase, and kept in place of Streitenfeld's original score for the scene. An edit can be heard, where the cue is restarted, but it is a smooth transition, so the audio from the scene can be extracted as-is from the film, to include the stirring final dialog and sound effect. To hear this instrumental piece in its original form, search for it by title/author on Youtube. Great track, inseparable from THE GREY; cheers!
