What about the game's soundtrack.   Tuesday, July 7, 2009 (6:20 p.m.)

I've just read that a CD with the soundtrack from the videogame, composed by one James Hannigan, was released. Has anybody heard of it? Is it better than the movie's soundtrack? I most certainly think so.

It's excellent.

Far too good to be wasted on a game.

I wouldn't put it like that. Games deserve equally good scores. But I agree that the score is good, it's miles ahead of Hooper's tragic mess. It's fun to listen to, it's dramatic, a bit weird, energetic and alive.

Indeed - James Hannigan's entries for the game adaptations of both "Order of the Phoenix" and "Half-Blood Prince" are far superior to Hooper's movie counterparts. I purchased maybe one or two of the prettier pieces of Hooper's score, but unreservedly purchased the whole of both of Hannigan's albums... and I would recommend any film score fans, and any Harry Potter fans, do the same.
