Danny Elfman?   Tuesday, September 24, 2002 (9:29 p.m.)

Damn!

I heard that Danny Elfman is scoring/scored the Brett Ratner Red Dragon movie.
I dont think Elfman can do it as good as Hans Zimmer did for Hannibal. Zimmer & his soldiers at Media Ventures did a wonderful job on scoring Hannibal and that could not be achieved by Elfman or any other composer. Nobody can fight Zimmers originality. Well, maybe John Williams but not Elfman. I guess we have to wait and see...

Ummmm Excuse me, since there are several people working on this score you cant really call Zimmer TOTALLY original. I mean yes he is pretty original but Danny Elfman and Elliot Goldenthal are certainly the most unique composers out there. Williams just sounds all the same now and his once great, I will admit, style, its now old and boring. I rather liked both Hannable and Red Dragon scores equally...
