thanxs.

Hannibal is quoting a few lines from the first sonnet in Dante's La Vita Nuova (The New Life). This is an earlier and perhaps lesser known work, yet very beautiful. In regard to the movie, the discussion about the "burning heart" takes place either at the end or during the intermission of the opera, between Lecter and Pazzi and his wife, Allegra. I hope this helps. - J
