• In Response to: Re: Williams gets two Oscar Nominations (hoora... (MSM)

41 nominations. Hmmm... It is a lot isn't it? Think again what for Star Wars, E.T., Hook, Indiana Jones, Schindler's List, The Patriot, Angelas Ashes... and on and on. Masterpieces? Yes they are, but the rest of the nominations... I have only one guestion. Where are the others? Like Elliot Goldenthal or Hans Zimmer. Final Fantasy, Hannibal and Pearl Harbour is just equall to Williams. Hannibal's LET MY HOME BY MY GALLOWS (track 9) can beat any part from A.I. or Harry Potter. But why Zimmer didn't had a nomination? Because there is a guy name John Williams and he worked on a Spielberg film and a film called Harry Potter. Think again. Williams has alredy have 5 Oscars. And Compare with the other composers.

Thomas Newman 4 nominations
Randy Newman 16 nominations
James Newton Howard 5 nominations
Alan Silvestri 1 nominations
Jerry Goldsmith 18 nomination, 1 award
Hans Zimmer 7 nominations, 1 award
Ennio Morricone 5 nominations
Elmer Bernstein 13 nominations
Harry Gregson-Williams 0 nominations
Danny Elfman 2 nominations

These guys can do as good as Williams.
