Hero is one of the best and most beautiful movies i've seen, and so is Tan Dun's music.A true masterpiece.

I concur on both notes. The film and score are spectacular. Comparisons to "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and inevitable and appropriate, considering how similar the two films are, but I find "Hero" to be superior in both film and score.

I grab the album when it came out in 2002 in China.

Although I haven't seen the film, and in domestic area it got somewhat mixed results of the film, but one thing is certain that the music is spetacular
