American companies almost always do that. Most of the time it is either the Japanese or European release that will have BONUS tracks that the American release does not have. I believe this is their way of getting americans to pay more for imports ($35 as opposed to the normal $18) to get the full product.

I will note that sometimes, it is rare, but sometimes the american release will have the BONUS tracks that the release in other countries will not have... none of it makes sense.
