Comments about the soundtrack for Hero (Tan Dun)

Vocals on the soundtrack?

Do the tracks have those strange vocals? For example, in the chess court fight, and in the river fight, you hear this strange voice with the music in the film... (well, either way, I'm still going to get this!!!)
