Date of birth: July 20, 1980.

Location: Norfolk, VA, except for school. That is Blacksburg, VA, the home of Virginia Tech.

Occupation: Student, studying physics. I graduate in May, 2002. I also write reviews for Ryan Keaveney's Cinemusic website. Once I graduate, I'll be working for the US Patent and Trademark Office in Arlington, VA.

Marital Status: Single

Favorite composers: James Horner, Hans Zimmer, Danny Elfman, Elliot Goldenthal (I like more, but when I mean favorite, I mean a few)

Favorite scores: Edward Scissorhands, Glory, The Thin Red Line, Star Trek II, Snow Falling on Cedars, Portrait of a Lady

Favorite non-score composers/works: I'm a huge fan of classcial music, especially requiem and choral work. I also really dig Goldenthal's Othello and Fire, Water, Paper. I like some classic rock and oldies, mainly Paul Simon.

Favorite movies: The Thin Red Line, Star Trek II, Glory, The Insider, Transformers: The Movie (I just love this one), Last of the Mohicans, Heat, Spaceballs, The Seven Samurai.

Other interests: Sports, especially baseball and hockey, reading, science fiction, pro wrestling. I also sing on occasion.

Political leanings: Conservative, Republican party

Extra info: The score that got me started collecting was Star Trek VI, back when I was 13. The Star Trek scores, along with Elfman's Batman, were the ones that really got me hooked into movie music. Scores that hook me in are ones with wonderful orchestra playing along with good use of electronics, though I do have guilty pleasures (Con Air), and I love Zimmer's all synth work. I'm also a sucker for good old fashioned, purely orchestral music, especially with good string work. As for movies, I'm a big fan of actioners and sci-fi, along with strongly acted dramas (like The Insider). I also love animation, and am slowly becoming interested in anime.
