I simply cannot believe that you would give The Haunting three stars, and Hollow Man only two. The Haunting may have a more substantial theme, but it opens in such a way that you laugh at it! And the rest of the music is either inaudible or a lot more painful than anything in Hollow Man. I, for one, think Hollow Man is a terrific piece of work, due to the subdued character themes, the intensity of the action, and the sheer brilliance of track 11, "Bloody Floor." I think this a lot better than Goldsmith's typical horror scores. I can understand those who think that it's typical Goldsmith fare, because of the understated theme, but Hollow Man is far from subpar.
