It's foot in mouth time.

Music is NOT defined by melody. You cannot define music. One man's noise is another's symphony. The definition of music is not, as you say, melody. To assume so is to be very uneducated in the subject.

You may not LIKE this music (I don't care for Glass either), but that does not change the fact that it is music.
