Absolutely agree with you. I think it is a shame that the movie 'Independence Day' has been released on DVD - what is it now? - three or four times, and yet not once have they thought to include an isolated music track. The score for this movie is incredible. The most glaring omission from the commercial release is the music from the movie that starts roughly about the time when Hiller and Levinson take off in the alien ship to dock with the mother ship. From this point on, up until where 'Jolly Roger' takes over - basically the music for the entire final battle - is nowhere to be found! Yeah, there is a modified and MUCH shorter version on the CD, but that is greatly lacking. It's hard to top that music that plays when the president shoots those missiles at the ship from his F/18, especially the second missile, when it makes contact!
