At long last, I have become an official member of Filmtracks! it's about time.
I have been a fan of Filmtracks for probably 10 years now (almost half my life). I remember when I was a pre-teen and was falling in love with film scores, and desperately trying to find other people who did to, I ran across this site, and it was practically love at first 'site'. Since then, the site has become a regular part of my life, I've check it practically everyday for years now. Needless to say, Christian, I thank you very much.
Anyways, enough gushing. For whatever reason I've been reading reviews, and following user chats for a long time, but never made an account (maybe I was used to the site long before forums were a big part of it). Fortunately, it's never too late to right that wrong. So here I am. I feel I know all of you, so let this serve as a sort of introduction from my end.
I am a lover all things film and film scores. I have wanted to be in the film industry since I was about 8 years old, working in the big-budget world of Hollywood genre films, with the ultimate goal of directing, either my own original stories, or adaptations of books I loved growing up. I studied film production at Biola University, near LA, and recently graduated. Now the real trial begins, of trying to make my dreams a reality in this crazy industry.

Some Favorite Composers (emphasis on some, for clearly this list could run endlessly long) (in no particular order):
John Williams
Basil Poledouris
Jerry Goldsmith
James Newton Howard
Alexandre Desplat
James Horner
Zbigniew Preisner
Christopher Young
Miklos Rozsa
Erich Wolfgang Korngold
Max Steiner
Bernard Herrmann
John Scott
Danny Elfman
Alan Silvestri
Bruce Broughton
Brian Tyler
David Arnold
Howard Shore
Elliot Goldenthal
Ennio Morricone
Franz Waxman
Joe Hisaishi
John Barry
Patrick Doyle
...and many more, I pride myself in having a wide knowledge of composers world-wide, not just the Hollywood usual suspects... although the more I listen to, the more I learn there is out there I haven't explored.

Some favorite musical styles: I am a die-hard orchestral fan, into beautiful, thematic, operatic music (ideally), although I also like many other styles, and certainly recognize that a wide variety of music can work in any film, as long as it suits the style and story. I also have a love for choral and ethnic-infused scores. Also, in the Non-soundtrack world, I love anything Celtic, as well as certain musicals and classical music. Not to mention, in the last few years have discovered the absolute treasure to be found in the world of modern video game scoring!

Enough talking.
