To my knowledge, what you're talking about is a horn set in e-flat, not a trumpet. The highest tone a trumpet can go to is not B2 flat, but it is for french horn. Williams also did that in Star Wars; the main theme is also writen in B flat, and solo horn also goes all the way to B2 flat.
