I've been visiting this site since 1998 when I was just a wee lad. I guess it's about time I make a profile.

Soundtracks were my introduction to the wonderful world of music, without which life would be much more painful. I play drums and guitar and have expanded my musical tastes to include everything from jazz to hard rock. However, every so often I get a hankering for some good orchestral bombast.

I'm more of a traditional popcorn score kind of fan--the recent trend of post-modern electronica that seems to be infiltrating Hollywood is in my opinion as sad as the death of the Opening Credit sequence.

As a musician there is nothing more impressive to me than the synergy necessary for 95 musicians to sit down and play beautifully together.

Favorite composers and scores:

-Jerry Goldsmith (The Edge)
-John Williams (The Empire Strikes Back tied w/ Raiders of the Lost Ark)
-Danny Elfman (Batman)
-Ennio Morricone (The Good, the Bad, and the ugly)
-James Horner (The Wrath of Khan)
-Alan Silvestri (The Mummy Returns)
