You know, unlimited creativity can go wrong of course and it probably did with the animated LOTR-Film and maybe with its score, too, but are you serious about using this as the base of your judgement over this score? It somehow seems as if only mainstream scores could get a 3+ star rating here. Look at so many experimental approaches to film scoring that got rated on filmtracks. None of them received its fully deserved attention but just some really bad reasons in rating it. Mainstream approaches like Howard Shore's are nothing to damn, of course, but don't experiments deserve even more admiration and debate instead of less of it, like in this review?
