I didn't mean to sound harsh or offend anyone in any way. I was simply stating that obsessions CAN be carried to far. I didn't say that all obsessions were dangerous. As you said, they are "ok to an extent." However, many people have become so wrapped up in their obsessions that they become extremely defensive of whatever it is that they are obsessed with. Some people are so defensive that they refuse to respect other peoples opinions. Different people react to things different ways.
Again, I don't mean to offend anyone. I am merely stating what can happen if an obsession is carried to far.
