now look here steve, unless your little born again christian mind is being "blinded from the truth", tolkien was a DEVOUT catholic although he dind't really use the name of god in his books, he uses their nature (ie like elves and angels, and the orcs as demons, and sauron as satan himself). and what's this thing that leaves you hanging on for a sequel? it has a sequel you moron!!!! that's why it's called a trilogy.
now you religious people should stay away from filmtracks if all you'll do is "brainwash" us. or just annoy us with you teachings. find another religious website where you guys can aruge about the teachings of god. you guys are no different than the preachers in the philippines who preach and preach and later on asks for donations. im not saying that it's wrong to preach; preach all you want but do it in a right place.
