Can someone help me?   Saturday, January 5, 2002 (10:41 a.m.)

I've been looking for the quote from the movie where Arwen is talking to Aragorn, and she says that she would rather face a mortal life than live without him, or something. I don't know where it is in the book. I know this isn't a music question, but could someone out there maybe help me out? (direct quote would be very helpful!) Thanks!!

the quote is "I would rather spend a mortal life with you than spend eternity alone" or something like that.

This quote doesn't appear in any of the 3 main parts of the book, on which Arwen has only some minor appearances. My TLOTR book has at the end a small appendix which tells the story between Aragorn and Arwen, where that quote, as it appears in the film, is not present. There are a good bunch of appendixes for this book, maybe it's present in another one.

Unfortunately, I cannot help you find that quote in the book... because it's not present there.

However, you should check the Appendices, one of which describes the origin of Aragorn and Arwen's relationship.

I have it! The direct qoute (as you requested) is "I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone"

For the rest of the script, go to www.yourbestshots.com/orlando/script.shtml.
That's where I found that quote.:)
