Titanic theme   Friday, January 11, 2002 (3:43 a.m.)

This theme heard at the end of the film on the river, does remind me to much of Titanic.

I don't believe it's just heard in The Great River, it's throughout the score...It's sounds suspiciously Hornerish....

Phew! For a few weeks i thought I was the only one who heard a connection between the two, but I couldn't stand Titanic. Lord of the Rings is my favourite movie since NeverEnding Story (1984) and Flight of Dragons (1986) and I'm only 16!

I love the music for Never Ending Story. I can't seem to find it on album anywhere, though. I'm 16 too! I have a lot of favorite scores; I don't pick favorites!

I could be completely wrong with this, but to me, it only sounds similar because they both have the same celtic/irish influences. I do think they are similar, but I think thats just a coincedence. I actually like the LOTR one better.

I thought it was just me. I have both soundtracks, and to me almost all the songs sound alike, Concerning Hobbits is especially Titanic-ish in places. But there's something different about the LotR score that makes me like it lots lots bettah.

Yes, I noticed it right away. A pity, too, because I found the Titantic theme to be heavy-handed and overromantic (like the film).

I found that to but I thought that Titanic was just a little bit better though LOTR was a blooody good score and I am very happy they didn't choose Horner for this movie.Though I did like Titanic a lot more.:)
