I'm sorry to say but It's symply not enough. Why did Shore compose this in the style: the same, but different? This is so 'artificial', forced...
He did not manage to create a unique score and to harmonize the trilogy.

Just listen to The Fellowship of the Ring ... I expected much more!

Sorry, but the sound is the same in all three scores. Let me say this about all the "lack of old themes" stuff: if you want FOTR, listen to FOTR; if you want TTT, listen to TTT; THIS Soundtrack belongs to ROTK and not to FOTR or TTT.

Well, I think I got it.This is neither FOTR nor TTT.But,it's a trilogy,isn't it?
So, just ... H.Shore was able to make something different as the composer of LOTR-FOTR, he created a 'new sound', a special athmosphere and he was able to use it, expand it perfectly in LOTR-TTT as well.

It's not the "old theme", "old tune" problem.

Simply, listening to the music of ROTK I cannot feel the athmosphere. It just doesn't fit.

By the way,I gotta tell: I love Howard Shore's music.
