FilmTrack Review of ROTK??

The reviewer has totally lost me here. No continuation of themes? Excuse me. ROTK easily takes on all the threads from the first 2 movies and brings them to their proper destination - paralleling the story exactly.

The Shire theme, the Breaking of the Fellowship, the Rohan theme, Gollum and Smeagol's theme, the Elves, the Gondor theme - they are all represented in ROTK. In addition the newer themes of the Grey Havens, the Return of the King etc are nicely added as well.

Each soundtrack is a masterpiece in movie soundtracks.

The reason there are no full out heroic interludes is because the characters while victorious, have paid a price, which is reflected in the more mature and somber musings of the ROTK soundtrack.
