Into the West with a different vocalist?

I think the melody for Into the West is superb, but I confess that Annie Lennox's performance just doesn't please me. For some reason, her voice makes me think of a chain-smoking, overweight greasy spoon waitress. Don't ask me why. Anyway, I am wondering if anyone can direct me to a good vocal version of this song. I have the excellent version by the City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra, with a cello replacing the vocalist (brilliant idea, and words can't describe how well it turned out), but the vocal version on the same CD isn't any better than Lennox's version. I'm looking for a less harsh voice, and less pop-ified, if you know what I mean. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
