Hard to believe Alex Wurman comes from an MV background. . . there are very few hints of that anywhere-- at least in this music. This is certainly one of the best contenders for the greatest theme of the 2005 year and as a film score fits its documentary wonderfully. Scores to films like these don't have to be large and epic to get their point across, especially with a film as "personal" and intimate as March of the Penguins, the very ideal and emotional impact Wurman strove to get across and certainly succeded in doing.

A fantastic, beautiful, and altogether touching score.

**** / *****

Sayonara!
