As I am a musician myself, I can say that composing music at home, in the bedroom or even on the bed itself (with a keyboard on the knees) is nothing unusual.
Amenabar did a good job. I'll definitely see the movie when it's in our cinemas here in Europe.
The classic parts are quite good and the shocks are delivered exquisitely...
